Most Turbine Vents come with adjustable bases that are recommended for 3:12 pitch roofs and greater, but for roofs with less than 3:12 pitch and flat roofs a custom base be made to conform to the application to reduce the chance of costly repairs that result from water entering over the ring flange on the base. Our Turbines can be attached to the base to complete a watertight seal. Most Turbines come with an adjustable base, when a custom base is required you end up paying for a base you can’t use. When ordering we require the pitch of the roof and the type of roofing material required.
